Commercial dance allows you to be more free within your movement, you are able to mix different dance genres & you don’t always need to be technically correct. It is not a strict style. It allows you to move how you want.
The vibe that Commercial dance brings, is more of a concert, music video vibe. You have to imagine doing this style in front of a huge audience! The movement is very powerful and big! You need to look present and stand out! You’re always dancing to the latest tunes, and adding in the latest dance moves!
At Immersive we are very very VERY sassy in this dance style, & we ensure you come away feeling empowered!
BEG & INTER ADVANCED LEVEL
Heels dance is such a powerful dance form, that when you learn the style and embody it you become empowered. Its techniques and dance vocabulary come from a wide range of dance styles. Commercial, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Ballroom, Latin and many more. Heel technique allows you to be free but also understand different dance genres. The style is mainly seen in the context of professional stage performance, music videos and back up dancers. It also brings physical fitness and power. When you dance in heels you have that “catwalk” type effect, which gives you the empowerment and confidence you need. At Immersive we dance to different types of music, slow & sexy or hard hitting commercial. We like to train you in different music genres, so you get the full understanding of the style and learn how to move your body in different ways.
BEG & INTER ADVANCED LEVEL
Street dance is an umbrella term for a large number of social dance styles such as: breakdancing, popping, locking, house dance, waacking etc. Social dance styles have many accompanying steps and foundations, created organically from a culture, a moment in time, a way of life, influenced by natural social interaction. We offer street dance in BEG/INTER AND ADVANCED LEVEL.
Urban Dance is a style of dance, community, and lifestyle revolving around choreographed pieces and performances by a dancer or groups of dancers. Choreography is influenced by several different dance styles, but is ultimately based on the choreographer’s own interpretation of the music. Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements
Be prepared to learn something new, challenging & learn to adapt more than one style in a piece!
Dancehall is a genre of Jamaican popular music that originated in the late 1970s. It is a very cultured and knowledgeable dance style. The classes will involve more practice of movements and embodying the style instead of set routines. DANCEHALL GIVES YOU THAT BOOTAAAAAY, so be prepared for achy legs!!
We alter between afro beats and dancehall sessions. Afrobeats dance is a diverse and fascinating style originating predominantly form Sub-Saharan Africa. It is an evolution from traditional African dance styles following the creation of Afrobeats music
Commercial Jazz is known to be a highly choreographed dance form. It features a mixture of sharp and fluid movements, popping & locking and animated expression similar to dances seen on commercial pop videos. This style is more technical in comparison to the other commercial class!
If you want to do something a little extra with your dance career then crew is the best option for you! You get to do competitions, shows, music videos, fundraisers and many more. You get given big opportunities. We have two crews,

If all of the above applies to you, then get booking for your private class today! Private classes will usually be held on a Thursday Friday and Saturday BUT if you can’t make those times or dates we can fit you in when there is free time in our timetable.
We mainly use Studio 17, which is located by Southampton Central train station. But if you have a facility closest to you, we can always come to you!
You can do whatever you want in a private class, choreography, your own routine, empowerment, touch up on previous routines that Immersive have taught. It’s all down to you! & we give you the best out of it!
